A Canadian Startup Story
Anyone familiar with the complex and often turbulent relationship between Canadian VC’s and entrepreneurs should get a chuckle out of this one.

Hey David,
You’re completely right. I was forwarded the comic in an email thread (which did not credit the original source). I invested some time and effort trying to track it down to no avail. I was able to track it down to Bitstrips, but not to Startup North. Since there was no claim to copyright in the comic itself I went ahead and posted it – due to my complete agreement with its sentiment.
I apologize for not sourcing the material and assure you it was not malicious – in fact the comic is right now circulating around Canada, spreading the word (which is a good thing).
I’m glad that you found this post and that Jevon is now credited and given the recognition he deserves for creating a great piece of satire.
Cheers,
MD
As a Canadian entrepreneur in SF all I can say is LEAVE Canada! This exactly illustrates the problem. I don’t want to say it’s an intellectual disparity but… well, maybe it is. Get out before you get discouraged.
This is a bit off discussion, which I apologize for, but would you and your viewers mind voicing your opinion about the recent oil spill, you’re opinion greatly helps and I can’t thank you enough for taking a few seconds to give it. I left the link in the appropriate field, thank you!
