Thank you to everyone that came out for August Hack Day. Warren worked on some culinary science experiments, Ross & Colin gave a great Intro to Raspberry Pi workshop, and Free Code Camp saw a bunch of first time participants.
Our website is up-to-date with all of the Fall 2016 programming. Be sure to check out all of the opportunities to develop your startup ideas and learn new skills to start moving forward.
We'd also like to take this moment to say goodbye to our amazing Front Desk Concierge and friend, David Ton-Lai. David joined the team just in time for Edmonton Startup Week 2015 and is leaving us to explore Japan for the next year! We wish him the very best & can't wait to hear about his adventures.
A friendly reminder that Launch Party 7 applications are due by September 17! We're looking to support technology companies with new products in market in the past 12 months.

Please take a moment and check out our Summer 2016 update, including a letter from Tiffany Linke-Boyko, CEO.

Partner Event: ATB BoostR Stage
The ATB BoostR Stage returns to Edmonton on September 22. Entrepreneurs have the chance to pitch business ideas on stage to hundreds from the local community, with the opportunity to win funds for their business in real time! Application deadline is August 12, 2016.
BoostR, a program of ATB Financial, enables entrepreneurs to raise funds, test ideas and build community support around their business ideas. The community "boosts" businesses through a purchase of a reward, a consumer product or service - all along helping entrepreneurs achieve their goals through local support. ATB pairs each successful BoostR program applicant with an advisor who guides entrepreneurs through the process of crowdfunding. The BoostR Stage is a live pitch event that highlights some great companies and products people can find on the BoostR platform.
Crowdfunding platforms (such as BoostR by ATB Financial, Kickstarter and Indigogo) are one way to test and validated your startup idea. You can learn more about customer validation and minimum viable product through Startup Edmonton's Preflight program. Next sessions begin in September!
