Startup Edmonton delivers several different types of events and initiatives towards our mandate:

• DemoCamp – Tech demos from the community that attracts 200+ to every event. 10 minutes, all live technology and product demos, no powerpoint.
• Startup Series (new for 2011) – Workshops that focus on entrepreneur and company development featuring mentors and speakers from Seattle and Silicon Valley.
• Launch Party – Flagship events that showcase local tech startups in a party atmosphere. Over 250+ people attended the first Launch Party in March 2010.
• Startup Weekend – An intense weekend where teams of creatives, developers and entrepreneurs go from idea to pitchable prototype in 72 hours.
• Founders + Funders (new for 2011) – Smaller events for startup founders and investors that create opportunities for interaction and relationship building at an early stage.
• Pitch Nights (new for 2011) – Fast paced presentations where entrepreneurs, developers and creatives talk and pitch their passions in five minutes or less.
• A100 Mentorship Network – Connecting first time entrepreneurs and developers with experienced second and third generation entrepreneurs and investors around Alberta and the world.
• Startup Digest (new for 2011) – StartupDigest Edmonton is a free curated email of the best upcoming technology and entrepreneurship events in the local community and around the world.
