The Job:

The People Operations Admin is a central support role for all Jobber employees. You will play an integral role in supporting our growth by being involved in all office operations and helping build a positive and vibrant employee experience. This is a hands-on role that will wear many hats from supporting our executive team to being involved in many People Ops (HR) programs & processes. You’ll own the first impressions experience for all guests visiting our Edmonton office and help ensure our unique space is in “tip top” condition at all times.   

We’re ideally looking for someone with 2-3 years of experience, but that is flexible based on what you bring to the table. This role will be located at Jobber Headquarters - a historic building in the heart ofdowntown Edmonton, Alberta.

The People Ops Admin will...

  • Provide administrative and EA (executive assistant) support to the leadership team, which includes submitting expenses, booking travel, assisting with scheduling and logistically supporting all off-site meetings and events.

  • Own and manage the first impression experience for all guests, candidates and visitors to the Jobber Edmonton office.

  • Manage catering for all employee events including weekly standup meetings, monthly Jobber outings and other celebrations.   

  • Administer the Welcome Mat (onboarding program) from new employee registration to certificate completion.

  • Support the recruiting function by managing job postings, scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates in order to provide an excellent candidate experience.

  • Maintain the HRIS (BambooHR) by administering the onboarding/offboarding processes and tracking other staff changes, when required.

  • Act as a booking support and central resource for all employee travel.

  • Wear many hats and take on additional responsibilities as the role and company grows.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills. You build rapport and credibility with others easily, display patience, humor and helpfulness at all times. You exhibit integrity with everything that you do.

  • Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills; accuracy is essential.

  • Strong computer skills, familiarity with Google Apps and the ability to learn new technology quickly.  

  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment requiring great time management skills and the ability to prioritize assignments.

  • A reputation for responsiveness, thoroughness and reliability.

  • Previous office administration or executive assistant (EA) experience - ideally in a dynamic, growing organization.
