Do you like building the systems that help people work more efficiently?
Then you should consider joining Jobber! We’re looking for a Salesforce Developer to join our Data Operations (DOps) team. The mission of the Salesforce Developer is to integrate Salesforce with other Jobber systems and to optimize Salesforce performance to enable our Sales team to build better relationships with our customers. Everything we do is in pursuit of better supporting small businesses, and each other, in our journey to power the world of mobile services. We are building a humble and supportive company that really gives a shit, and we’re having a blast doing it. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
There are a number of internal tools we use that allow our teams to do great work, which is the direct impact you will have by analyzing, designing and optimizing business processes related to Salesforce. This role reports to our Chief Technology Officer and will be a key member of our DOps team. We’re looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years experience developing and implementing enterprise business software solutions (ideally Salesforce), but that can be flexible based on what you bring to the table. This role can be located at Jobber Headquarters - a historic building in the heart of downtown Edmonton or at our new office in the OneEleven accelerator in downtown Toronto.
To be coachable and adaptable. This is a new role which means lots of trial and error. The best opportunities are the ones you can learn from...which we guarantee you’ll do with us if you’re open to it!
To collaborate. You are team-oriented but able to work autonomously with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment.
To be a problem solver. You’ll troubleshoot implementation issues and demonstrate the ability to drive to successful resolution.
To be a self-starter. You are the kind of person who knows what needs to get done and you make it happen. You also involve the right people to help you with this.
Near mastery experience with Salesforce development. You’ll have experience with Salesforce APIs (Metadata, Bulk, Streaming, etc.) and programming triggered batch operations. You’ll also have experience with SOQL, monitoring debug logs and writing Apex classes and triggers. To ensure your work aligns with Jobber, you’ll also be skilled with object-oriented development in Java or Apex, understand how to apply TDD to develop maintainable code and have experience designing recoverable systems (preferably experience with 2-directional sync systems).
To be a strong troubleshooter. You’ll be very familiar with Salesforce best practices and the ability to recommend changes to our process that will increase efficiency for our internal teams.
A degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.
It would be really great (but not a deal-breaker) if you had...
Salesforce.com developer certification
Experience with Heroku Connect
What you can expect from us...
Extended health benefits package, fully paid premiums.
Three weeks paid vacation.
An environment that believes in bettering and supporting its people.
Your very own, brand new Apple computer.
