Job Description

About the team:

As the world’s largest financial education property, Investopedia is the premier go-to destination for users to empower themselves with the knowledge and confidence to take action with their money. The Performance Marketing (PM) Team was established to take that experience to the next level, building tools and resources that will allow our educated audience to make decisions on what products and services they will use. Across brokerage, mortgages, autos, personal loans, credit cards, and much more, our team will build innovative products to serve the $30 billion consumer financial services industry.

Projects we work on include:

  • World’s first personalized brokerage fee comparison calculator based on different trading styles

  • State of the art walkthroughs of various brokerage platforms

  • In-depth domestic and international online broker reviews

Challenges we’re excited to tackle in 2017 include:

  • Become the world’s premier destination for resources on choosing a brokerage platform.

  • Become America’s top destination for resources on choosing various personal finance vehicles – mortgages, credit cards, student loans, personal loans, and more.

Software Development at Investopedia:

The development team at Investopedia believes in owning their impact and fighting complexity while giving back and having fun. We believe that small, empowered, self-motivated teams can do big things. Our work crosses a wide variety of teams, applications, and technology stacks within Investopedia - collaboration and communication are as important as writing new code. We work primarily with PHP but have started to extract smaller services using Node.js and Python. We are currently undergoing tremendous growth in our business and are looking for several additional software developers to help us continue to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Qualifications

Software development qualities that are relevant to us:
