Showbie is looking for a customer-centric Business Development Representative (BDR) to help manage our global customer base and join our sales team. By working closely with customers and our account managers, you will be a key part of a high-energy, multi-product company that is committed to customer success.
How You'll Spend Your Days:
Our BDRs prospect potential customers, create outreach strategies, and identify sales opportunities. You will conduct exploratory conversations with potential customers, both through email and over the phone, and may also work some sales from start to finish.
In This Role You Will..
Conduct high-volume prospecting to qualify leads through emails and calls
Work closely and collaboratively with Sales Reps to develop and implement appropriate prospecting and sales strategies
Help schools transition through both the pre-customer and post-customer pipeline
Work with marketing to qualify lead generation and campaigns
Manage some new inbound leads
Manage some existing accounts both from a success and renewal perspective
In This Role You Will Need...
To be coachable and adaptable. We are a small startup which means we all wear many hats. We’re looking for someone that is excited about flexibility and moving fast, not someone that only brings 20 years sales experience to the table.
To be a self-starter. We need you to bring forward awesome ideas and not be afraid to execute even if they don’t work out. Problem-solving comes naturally to you.
To have excellent communication skills. Driving phone conversations and emails are very different; we want to know you can do both eloquently.
To be driven and tenacious. In sales we have targets. We want you to knock it out of the park but not be afraid to pick yourself up if you miss it.
To be a team player. We celebrate each other’s wins because we’re all striving towards the same goal. We also want you to feel like you can take your vacation time and not worry about coming back to a full inbox.
To be excited by data. We love data — it makes our lives easier. We want you to know how to use a spreadsheet and how to think about data critically.
To have a bit of a competitive nature. Compete with yourself and your targets, not with your team. We value humility but want you to have a self-driven sense of motivation.
To love helping others. You naturally demonstrate empathy and derive satisfaction from helping customers and teammates.
A diploma or degree is an asset
Passionate about making a difference in education
1+ years in either a Customer Service or Sales role
