Are you interested in learning how to 3D print? Are you a 3D printing guru and want to show off your latest creations? Are you looking for someone to do some 3D printing for you? This 3D printing meetup is a welcoming no-judgement group for people at all skill levels who want to explore or share anything related to 3D printing. Come out and bring your creations and ideas for show and tell!
Kian was getting too busy to continue running the meetups, so Kyle, John, and Mike have decided to co-host, in order to keep this great group going. This month we will be the first 3D printing meetup with your new hosts.
Kyle will be doing a presentation on how to clean up STL (3D mesh) files. He uses various pieces of software to do this, and will be explaining the ins and outs of this process. It is very important to know how to do this, as often files you create, or find online will not print correctly without having done this step.
John will be doing a demonstration of his Printerbot 3D printer.
Note that due to a scheduling conflict, this meetup is not being held at the usual location in the main meeting room, so it will be across the hall in the smaller meeting room. We hope that in the new year that we will be back in the usual location.
