Are you a developer looking to get into iOS development? In this intensive 4-week course, we'll help you take the first step in creating native apps for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
The course covers Objective-C language basics and is designed to get experienced object-oriented developers comfortable creating iOS apps. You'll get an overview of the hardware and software capabilities of iOS devices, as well as a tour of iOS development tools and the SDK.
Participants are expected to have some level of programming/coding skills and experience. We also offer a Programming Fundamentals that will provide a good base of knowledge for this course. You should also be a registered Apple Developer.
Over the course of 4 weeks, participants are expected to complete additional assignments to reinforce key concepts from each week's class. Participants are also encouraged to come in and work in the Startup Edmonton space and participate in the online Facebook group set up specifically for each course.
All sessions are held at Startup Edmonton at the Mercer Warehouse (10363-104 Street). As part of your registration, you'll also get access to the Startup Edmonton co-workspace. You can use that time to continue to work on your project/product and meet with other participants and members of the startup community.
