If This Then That | Edmonton Startup Week 2017

IFTTT | Edmonton Startup Week 2017

IFTTT (If This Then That) is one of our favourite introductory tools to encourage prototyping. A free web-based service, IFTTT creates applets that use conditional statements to get different services, like Gmail, Twitter or a weather app, to trigger actions. Think of it as creating a recipe that would text you to bring a sweater to work if it dips below -1 degrees, or to send your friends a weekly email of all your newly liked songs from a streaming app (especially if you're the one with the best recommendations!)

We're here to be your personal If This Then That guide for Edmonton Startup Week! If you enjoyed a session or experience at #yegsw17, there is sure to be something for you year-round in our city's growing startup community.

Lucky for you we run Hack Day the first Saturday of each month! It's a great time to pick up a skill at a free workshop, focus on your project idea, and grab coffee + lunch with new friends. Our next one is November 4 - RSVP today

More than an affordable place to work, coworking keeps you accountable to your project, connects with people who completely understand what you're going through, plus it comes with on-demand mentorship hours. Our space membership starts at just $125/month and includes coffee, meeting rooms, and wifi. You can book a meeting & get started in as little as 48 hours.

This year we had a great group of companies and products to choose from to participate in Launch Party (and half of this year's class are Preflight members/alumni). You could be in next year's class! Join in on Preflight, a series of workshops, mentorship, and partner programs focused on getting your tech idea off the ground and into the hands of customers. Our next Preflight sessions start on November 9 - spend one evening a week on your idea and start moving things forward! Apply today!

Launch Party 2017

The Startup Crawl is always one of the most popular events during Startup Week. It's an incredible chance to meet the teams and see the spaces from some of our city's fastest growing tech companies. Our $35 Commons Membership includes the best parts of the crawl, facilitated networking with great startup teams, plus the bonus of a complimentary workshop of your choice (a $25 value) and discounts with local partners.
