Edmonton is at an exciting point in time to foster a swell of tech startups, and Startup Edmonton plays a key role in this endeavor. The Lead Program Manager will identify and develop strategies focused on the expansion of Startup Edmonton programs. This role will report to and work directly with the CEO of Startup Edmonton.
Operating in a fast-past environment, this individual will lead the team in the growth of programming. This capable professional will mentor and coach team members, while being strategically focused on evolving and developing programming that maintains relevance and impact.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Deliver programs and ensure it is a dynamic learning environment.
Meet with founders about the progress of their business and direct them to additional mentorship and resource opportunities
Ensure that program curriculum is delivered professionally and effectively to meet desired learning objectives.
Coach and manage program managers and facilitators
Ensure that program facilitators are equipped to deliver curriculum professionally and effectively meet desired learning objectives.
The successful candidate will have:
Passionate about the entrepreneurial community
Dynamic public speaker and workshop facilitator
Superior interpersonal and communication skills
Aptitude in identifying needs of customers and creating/driving solutions
Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or another related field. A combination of education and work experience will be considered.
2 – 5 year experience in leading workshops and developing curriculum
Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading, mentoring and coaching a team of professionals
