Edmonton is at an exciting point in time to foster a swell of tech startups, and Startup Edmonton plays a key role in this endeavor. The Program Facilitators will support and coach founders as they learn and go through the Startup Edmonton programs. These roles are full-time 12-month terms and would report directly to the Startup Edmonton Lead Program Manager.
Operating in a fast-past environment, these Program Facilitators are crucial leaders and drivers of growth who will help build awareness about how Startup Edmonton supports entrepreneurs, facilitate workshops, and provide additional resource options.
We are looking for two passionate people who are excited about building the startup community and helping entrepreneurs find success.
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
Ensuring that Startup Edmonton’s curriculum is delivered professionally and effectively to meet the desired learning objectives
Meeting with Startup Edmonton members about the progress of their business and directing them to additional mentorship and resource opportunities
Coordinating the program schedule with the Lead Program Manager to deliver effective programs
Meeting with customers interested in Startup Edmonton’s programs
Utilizing business development skills and contacts to find potential preflight program members
Maintaining up to date details about program members in our CRM system
Supporting Startup Edmonton events
The successful candidates will have/be:
Passionate about and have personal experience in the entrepreneurial community, and particularly eager to shape the skills and trajectories of the newest generation of startup founders
A dynamic and engaging public speaker and workshop facilitator
Collaborative, solutions and results-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Possessive of superior interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with employees/clients/stakeholders at all levels
Highly adept in identifying the needs of customers and creating/driving solutions
Team player with a positive attitude.
Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
Post Secondary Degree or a combination of schooling and experience.
Able to work evenings and weekends
