We're on the search for a Student Program Manager!

We are looking for a passionate person who is excited about helping students find their place in the startup community!

Edmonton is at an exciting point in time to foster a swell of tech startups, and Startup Edmonton plays a key role in this endeavour.  The Student Program Manager will deliver and execute the Startup Edmonton’s student program and events. This role is a full-time 12-month term and would report directly to the Startup Edmonton Community Program Manager.

Operating in a fast-past environment, this individual will help these key community members understand the opportunity in Edmonton to build a tech-enabled company and connecting them to the startup community and programs to grow their understanding and skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering and executing events/programs that will engage students with the startup community and Startup Edmonton member companies.

  • Building awareness with students across Edmonton’s post-secondary schools about the opportunities to work for or create a tech company in Edmonton.

  • Delivering presentations about Startup Edmonton to a variety of student groups both on and off campus

  • Engaging talent members in events and programs to build their company brand with post secondary students.

  • Fostering relationships with entrepreneurs to assist with guidance in their company progression through student connection

The successful candidate will have:

  • Passion for entrepreneurial community, particularly connecting post secondary students to the Edmonton community

  • Collaborative, solutions and results-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Possessive of superior interpersonal and communication skills

  • Detail oriented, thorough, proactive and resourceful.

  • Team player with a positive attitude.

  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

  • Post Secondary Degree or a combination of schooling and experience.

  • Able to demonstrate 2-3 year experience in leading events and connecting with the community.
