Jobber - Sales Development Representative

The SDR will play an integral role in supporting our Business Sales Consultants by qualifying incoming trials. Everything we do is in pursuit of better supporting small businesses, and each other, in our journey to power the world of mobile services. The Job:

This role is with our Sales team, so that means we need someone with the energy and ambition to make this role a huge success! The successful person for this role will be the first point of contact for people in trial. We’re ideally looking for someone with 1-2 years of related experience, but that can be flexible based on what you bring to the table! This role will be located at Jobber Headquarters - a historic building in the heart of downtown Edmonton.

You'll need…

  • To be coachable and adaptable. We are always looking for ways to improve and need someone who is flexible and good with change and ambiguity.

  • To be a self-starter. The SDR will likely dial over 100+ calls per day to existing trial customers to effectively support the sales team. We need someone who is energized by high volume, not depleted by it.  

  • To be incredibly driven and tenacious. In sales, not every customer will say yes or be interested in what you have to say. We need you to dust of your jeans and get right back in the saddle...quickly.

  • To collaborate. The SDR must establish strong relationships quickly and work with the Sales team to understand what is and isn’t working.

  • To have a strong and confident communication style with the ability to actively listen and consult with our customers. You’re also the kind of person who is humble, supportive and polite on the phone. This position involves a good deal of phone time, so these communication skills are imperative!

  • Previous experience with Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems would be a plus.

It would be really great (but not a deal-breaker) if you had...

  • Previous customer service or inbound sales experience.
