Job Description

About the team:

The Product team drives the product vision, design, development and optimization for Investopedia. The team is comprised of product managers, data analysts, designers and software developers who leverage lean and agile development principles to create exceptional user experiences.

We also manage the rapid growth of Advisor Insights, the premier platform enabling thousands of financial advisors to market their businesses by publishing thought leadership articles or answering investor questions.

Some of our recent accomplishments include:

  • Launching a new Investopedia Markets experience, complete with a watch list, quotes pages, and a markets homepage so investors can better track stock performance

  • Launching a new Priority Leads Program for Advisor Insights, which aims to further fuel platform growth by matching financial advisors with potential leads

  • Launching the following feature on Advisor Insights to allow users to “follow” their favorite financial advisors when they publish new articles or answers

  • Launching a new Investopedia homepage that highlights our company focus on providing our users with more timely content

Development at Investopedia:

The development team at Investopedia believes in owning their impact and fighting complexity while giving back and having fun. We believe that small, empowered, self-motivated teams can do big things. Our work crosses a wide variety of teams, applications, and technology stacks within Investopedia - collaboration and communication are as important as writing new code. We work primarily with PHP but have started to extract smaller services using Node.js and Python. We are currently undergoing tremendous growth in our business and are looking for several additional software developers to help us continue to deliver exceptional user experiences.


Software development qualities that are relevant to us:
