Jobber - Business Sales Consultant

The BSC plays a critical role in providing consulting to an influx of inbound opportunities and trials. Everything we do is in pursuit of better supporting small businesses, in our journey to power the world of mobile services. The Job:

This role is with our Sales team, so that means we need someone with the energy and ambition to make this role a huge success! The successful person for this role will have had success working with small businesses in a consultative sales environment. We’re ideally looking for someone with 1-2 years of related experience, but that can be flexible based on what you bring to the table! This role can be located at Jobber Headquarters - a historic building in the heart of downtown Edmonton or in our growing Toronto office in the OneEleven District

You'll need…

  • To be coachable and adaptable. We are always looking for ways to improve and need someone who is flexible and good with change and ambiguity.

  • To be a self-starter. The BSC will be required to sell in a high paced fast environment with a fairly short sales cycle. The sales process is very consultative and helping the customers recognize the value and efficiency Jobber could provide their company.  We need someone who is energized by high volume, not depleted by it.  

  • To be incredibly driven and tenacious. In sales, not every customer will say yes or be interested in what you have to say. We need you to dust of your jeans and get right back in the saddle...quickly.

  • To collaborate. The BSC must establish strong relationships quickly and work with the Sales team to understand what is and isn’t working.

  • To have a strong and confident communication style with the ability to actively listen and consult with our customers. You’re also the kind of person who is humble, supportive and polite on the phone. This position involves a good deal of phone time, so these communication skills are imperative!

  • Previous experience with Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems would be a plus.

  • Previous inbound sales experience with small businessess
