Jobber - Sales Development Representative

The SDR will play an integral role in supporting our Business Sales Consultants so they can spend more time with qualified customers. The Job:

This is a new role with our Sales team, so that means we need someone with the energy and ambition to make this role a huge success! You’ll have the opportunity to further develop our sales process by conducting a high-level qualification of our customers in a Jobber trial. This role will help increase sales efficiency by ensuring qualified trials are speaking to Business Sales Consultants at the right time. We’re ideally looking for someone with 3-5 years of related experience, but that can be flexible based on what you bring to the table! This role will be located at Jobber Headquarters - a historic building in the heart of downtown Edmonton.

You'll need…

  • To be coachable and adaptable. This is a new role which means lots of trial and error. The best opportunities are the ones you can learn from...which we guarantee you’ll do with us if you’re open to it!

  • To be a self-starter. The SDR will likely dial over 100 calls per day to effectively support the sales team. We need someone who is energized by high volume, not depleted by it.  

  • To be incredibly driven and tenacious. In sales, not every customer will say yes or be interested in what you have to say. We need you to dust of your jeans and get right back in the saddle...quickly.

  • To collaborate. The SDR must establish strong relationships quickly and work with the Sales team to understand what is and isn’t working. 

  • To be adaptable. We’re an agile company and we need people who are able to pivot and change directions when required. 

  • To have a strong and confident communication style with the ability to actively listen and consult with our customers. You’re also the kind of person who is humble, supportive and polite on the phone. This position involves a good deal of phone time, so these communication skills are imperative! 

  • Previous experience with Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

It would be really great (but not a deal-breaker) if you had...

  • Previous customer service or inbound sales experience.
