DevFacto - UX Practice Manager

DevFacto is looking to hire a UX Practice Manager to help drive the organization's strategic design vision in addition to managing a team of highly skilled UX designers and developers.  

The UX Practice Manager will apply their strong understanding of customer needs with an equally deep understanding of business goals to champion design solutions that deliver value to DevFacto’s business and customers. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about solving user problems with innovative design techniques and insights to build innovative solutions for a variety of customers. This role will report to and work closely with the Vice President, Delivery Services and other members of DevFacto’s leadership team to ensure growth strategies align with internal mandates and opportunities. 

If you’re looking to:  

  • Lead, manage and scale a team of highly skilled UX designers and developers

  • Deliver best-in class solutions through expert knowledge of design processed and tools

  • Serve as lead for all user experience and design activities including user interface (UI), content strategy, information architecture and design, motion design, visual design, and user research

  • Establish, communicate and evolve effective UX strategy through a strong understanding of user-centered design techniques and best practices, in order to deliver on both the customer and DevFacto’s goals

  • Act as a true champion of design thinking and demonstrate its ability to deliver business value, both internally and with our clients

  • Attract, recruit, retain, and grow a highly functioning UX team

And you have:  

  • 5 years of UX design experience, with at least 2 years in a lead design role

  • 5 years of experience leading teams with a proven track record of delivering innovative design solutions

  • Demonstrated experience working across the design spectrum from research to iteration and implementation, with a demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of UX/UI theory

  • Strong people management and leadership skills and solid experience building, mentoring and leading highly effective design teams

  • Strong analytic, strategic and conceptual design skills with exceptional attention to detail and familiarity using data and client insights to influence design decisions

  • Extensive knowledge of information architecture, user-centered design best practices, creative and visual design concepts and their application to solution design

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, agile environment, while leading process improvement efforts for the team and developing long term roadmaps

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects with significant financial implication and high executive visibility

  • Exceptional ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of the organization in a collaborative manner through both verbal and written channels

  • A degree in design, human-computer Interaction or related field
