As a part of our data curation team, you will be involved in collecting, annotating, updating and validating information in the DrugBank database and making sure that our data is well-structured and complete data. We are looking for people that have an in depth understanding of pharmacology concepts and have a passion for research and learning.
Reviewing, inputting and updating detailed information about drugs including mechanisms of action, adverse effects, metabolic pathways, drug-target relationships and pharmacology related information.
Providing feedback and insights from a pharmacology perspective to the bioinformaticians and software development team who are working on internal tools that enable data curation as well as external tools for our customers to access the information in the database.

You are personable and have strong communication skills and appreciate working on a team.
Background in pharmacology, pharmacy and/or biochemistry.
Strong literature research skills. You need to know how to search out information on a topic and develop a complete understanding from review of scientific literature.
Advanced scientific writing skills in English. You need to be able to communicate detailed scientific information in writing.
