Jobber - People Operations Specialist

Jobber exists to help people in small businesses be successful. As featured in the Globe and Mail, we work with home and field service companies to help them better quote, schedule, invoice and collect payments from their customers. We’ve come a long way from our first customer in 2011 and have just scratched the surface in what we want to accomplish for our customers.   

The role: 

Reporting to the Manager, People the People Operations Specialist is the first point of contact for our employees. You’re an integral part of their overall experience at Jobber – you’ll be responsible for welcoming our new team members through a positive and efficient onboarding process as well as answering employee requests and assisting with the administration of employee programs. 

The People Operations Specialist will:

  • Coordinate the onboarding process including pre-start communication, facilitating Welcome Mat (our onboarding program) and coordinating with leaders on key dates

  • Administer employee data in various systems, including Bamboo and our benefits providers

  • Run various reports for use in dashboarding and analytics

  • Work with the Manager, People and People Leaders from across Jobber to facilitate changes within teams

  • Work with the Talent Attraction team during peak hiring times and run recruitment processes including resume reviews, phone screens, reference checks and interview scheduling

  • Stay up-to-date and current on trends, important issues and regulations that help further build and protect Jobber’s culture

To be successful, you should have:

  • 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably supporting a fast growing organization

  • 1 year of experience in full-lifecycle recruiting

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

  • Great relationship building skills and the ability to quickly build trust through consistent delivery and follow through

  • A positive, problem solving approach

  • Team orientation and a belief that team success is just as important as personal success

  • A passion for self-directed learning and growth. You would describe yourself as a lifelong learner
