As featured in the Globe and Mail, we work with home and field service companies to help them better quote, schedule, invoice and collect payments from their customers. We’ve come a long way from our first customer in 2011 and have just scratched the surface on what we want to accomplish for our customers.   

The team:

The Product Marketing team focuses on the value that Jobber delivers to new and existing customers through the Jobber customer journey. Working closely with key stakeholders in other departments, they’ll align their understanding of the Jobber product, customers, and market, to tell the right story, at the right time, to the right people.

The role:

Reporting to the Director, Marketing, the Senior Product Marketing Manager will:

  • Understand what to build. You’ll partner with the Product team on product strategy, including tackling feature decisions, conducting market and competitor research, and monitoring key industry trends.

  • Know who to build for. You’ll identify distinct customer segments through research and feedback, prioritize customer pain points, determine needs, and develop effective product positioning and messaging to ensure those customers understand the value of Jobber.

  • Know how to sell it. You’ll prepare and execute highly targeted campaign and go-to-market strategies with the marketing team and other cross-functional teams, by developing value propositions, leading promotion, and testing a variety of tactics and messaging.

  • Keep customers coming back. You'll work with our Success, Sales, and Product teams to ensure our customers ongoing success. You’ll ensure they understand the

To be successful, you should have: 

  • Been there, done that, and want to do it again. You have first-hand experience in the B2B SaaS landscape, and are not afraid of positioning an industry-leading product to different users, markets, and segments. Ideally you have 5 years of marketing experience, with at least an additional 2 years in a direct product marketing role.

  • A strategic drive and mindset. You’re a strategic thinker and operate on a level that turns your ambitious goals into visuals of new market opportunities and then you build a rock-solid strategy and tactical plan to achieve them.

  • A customer first approach. Whether it’s current customers in Jobber’s ecosystem or new market and channel opportunities, you have a passion to communicate with, learn about, and serve Jobber customers around the world. Delivering extraordinary customer experiences is in your DNA.

  • The desire to find the answers. When you see a problem, you want to find the core issue, then develop and execute a solution. When it comes to finding out “why”, you want to dig into the data and share those results with the broader team.

  • A desire to be a leader. You’re someone who wants to take your previous experience and help develop other Product Marketers. You’re comfortable in sharing your success stories, talking about your failures, and teaching others the key skills for the role.

  • The ability to collaborate and listen. You’re supportive and open to opinions outside of your own, have no problem asking others “how can I help?” to help clear roadblocks and build relationships, and take feedback and incorporate it to make your strategies even better.

  • Solid communication skills. You're passionate about sharing the story behind your work, and can effectively tell that story in ways that'll resonate with the Jobber team, new customers, current customers, partners, and influencers.

  • Comfort in the grey areas. We’re a dynamic start-up, and with that can come change – you need to be comfortable multitasking, prioritizing, and living in the ambiguity.
