Scope AR - System Administrator

Lockheed-Martin, for example, uses our AR platform as part of their workflow to assist their team members to build the next NASA spacecraft, Orion.

Scope AR needs a capable, motivated System Administrator to help us grow and maintain our computer systems and networks. The Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure, as well as maintaining antivirus protection, backups, email, file shares, physical access control, web hosting, servers, printers, telephones, etc. The individual is expected to engage in proactive enhancement of all our systems to ensure our smooth operations for the entire office.

This role has opportunities to advance to a dev ops role, further supporting our growing development team.

As System Administrator, you will

    • Administer servers, laptop and desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, company mobile phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches

    • Maintain network and system security

    • Procure and configure new development hardware

    • Design and deploy networks; Maintain network servers such as file servers, and VPN gateways

    • Support our development team by ensuring continuing operation of our automated build systems

    • Help with production software deployments, both to mobile app stores and cloud server environments


    • Knowledge of Mac and Windows OS

    • Knowledge of network design, data storage, wifi protocols and router setup

    • Knowledge of computer hardware

    • A keen interest in computer technology and a desire to learn new skills

Bonus Skills

    • Experience with Jenkins or other relevant continuous integration server

    • Experience with database administration

    • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
