We hope everyone had a great summer! We're ready for our next AWS Meetup Edmonton! For this one, Curtis Collicutt is going to go through deploying Kubernetes in AWS using Ansible.
This presentation will go over deploying Kubernetes in AWS using Ansible. This example is based on Kelsey Hightowers “Kubernetes the Hard Way” (KtHW) documentation project which details a manual deployment of Kubernetes in Google Compute Engine. Curtis has adapted and automated that documentation to 1) be deployed to AWS and 2) use Ansible instead of manual commands. However, the point of the project is to get a better understanding of how Kubernetes is deployed in AWS, not necessarily to
create a production system.
Curtis Collicutt is currently an OpenStack Architect designing and deploying Network Function Virtualization systems. He deals with all facets of infrastructure as a service and is interested in both public and private cloud deployments and their usage.
