Gamepub Talks, Q&A and Maybe Beer - May 2017 Edition

  • Startup Edmonton 10359 - 104 Street Northwest Edmonton, AB, T5J 1B9 Canada (map)

GamePub is a reoccurring monthly event that gathers various game developers from in and around the Edmonton area with the goal of providing professional development opportunities through presentations, demos, news and information about our industry (local and abroad), and the ability to network and connect with peers.

This month's event is one that we have been anticipating for a while now. With so much discussion on Publishers and Funding sources being brought up by the community in recent months, we are very pleased to announce that Trent Oster (Beamdog) will be our primary speaker at this event. For those of you who do not know Trent, he has run the cycle of Indie to AAA with Bioware, and for the past few years has returned to the Indie part of the loop once again with his new studio Beamdog (which just recently launched Planescape Enhace Edition). As such Trent brings years of incredible knowledge and experience on this very topic and is able to combine this with some amazing anecdotes and storytelling that will both inform and entertain.

Note: Should the Oilers have a playoff game on this day, we will be moving event away from Startup Edmonton. So please continue to check the event location as it is subject to change once the next round of the NHL playoff schedule is released.
