The Nuts and Bolts of Data Science

  • Startup Edmonton 10359 - 104 Ave Edmonton, AB Canada (map)

Data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence are BIGbuzzwords but what do they really mean to you and your organization?

Experts from Cybera (Alberta’s not-for-profit technology accelerator) will untangle the buzzwords and jargon, and show you how data science is impacting business through real-world examples. You will learn about what to consider before you start using data science to improve your projects or operations, and about current challenges facing the industry.

We will help shed light on how Alberta organizations (both big and small) can navigate this complex landscape of buzzwords, and translate it into practical knowledge to be better prepared to do more with their data.

This introductory session is geared towards a non-technical audience looking to understand the world of data science and are considering implementing it in their organizations.

Cybera is a not-for-profit technology-neutral organization responsible for driving Alberta’s economic growth through the use of digital technology.
